The app
Plan it, log it, and fish within the rules
Gannet brings the things you check before a day's fishing into one place on your iPhone.
Plan your day
Check the tide and the weather for the places you fish, and pick a time that suits both the conditions and your plans.
Keep a trip log
Record where you went, what you caught and how the day went. Your log is yours, and it stays on your phone unless you choose to sync it.
Know the rules
Bag limits, minimum sizes and closed areas for where you are fishing, checked against Fisheries New Zealand, the official source.
Safety first
Gannet will tell you when a day looks marginal. It is a planning aid, not a navigation or safety device, and the call is always yours.
Who it’s for
Built for NZ fishers
From the harbour in a 12ft tinny to a day out wide — if you plan your fishing around the tide and the weather, Gannet is built for you, right across the country.

About us
The company behind Gannet
Gannet is made by Gannet Pacific Limited, an independent company registered in New Zealand.
Planning a day's fishing usually means juggling a forecast, a tide table, the rules for your area and whatever you remember from last time. We are building Gannet to bring that together in one app, made specifically for New Zealand waters.
